The Python-Drive is a complete drive system for yachts and sloops.
After mounting a Python-Drive, periodically aligning the motor on the propeller shaft is no longer necessary, annoying axial drive reactions between the motor and the propeller shaft are eliminated and the thrust is reduced to the pressure by means of the special suspension of the thrust bearing in rubbers. hull of the ship.
The heart of every Python Drive is the maintenance-free homokinetic drive shaft, which in all versions is amply calculated for its task. The thrust bearing is very large for all models and maintenance free.
Mounting of the thrust bearing is done with the aid of a clamping ring which centers the propeller shaft at the place where it belongs; directly behind the homokinetic drive shaft.
The homokinetic drive shaft ensures a constant rotation speed of the propeller shaft even at unequal angles, thus reducing wear on rotating parts of the drive system.
Another advantage of this system is the very short installation length.
The Python-Drive is supplied with all necessary installation materials such as adapter flange for the most common gearbox types, homokinetic drive shaft, robust thrust bearing unit as well as all bolts, nuts, washers and rubbers to absorb the thrust.
Complete standard units are available for shaft diameters of 19 mm. up to and including 100 mm. also for inch sizes. Conical shaft fits can be supplied on request.
Loose homokinetic drive shafts for traction shafts up to 1,500 Kgm (approx. 14.7 kNm) and also standard longer shafts or special longitudinal shafts are available. The thrust bearings are also available as separate units and can easily be mounted anywhere on the propeller shaft.
